MoH: Dance of the Dead (2005)
It's like Rebel Without a Cause had a bastard brain-damaged child with Land of the Dead, then that child had an affair with Doom Generation while shooting up some 2001 Maniacs. I enjoyed it. Anti-heroes and false humanity abound in this sweet little film centered on the heart of youth in a world discarded by history. Mmmmm, mmmmm, good.

I Am Legend (2007)

The Good:
I dig the premise of this story, it seems nearly every few years has a retelling of I Am Legend (copyright 1954) in one way or another. I suppose the modern zombie film has Matheson to thank for its basic plot.
I enjoyed following the character around the empty streets of New York, the little things really made the role believable.
I liked the dog.
The action was alright in it.
The Bad:
It just felt like something was missing... hard to say what, but at the end I was just saying to myself, "Well, I guess it was a movie." Nothing really excited me.
The end - blah and boo!
I would have liked a little more explanation about the "main bad guy", I mean I guess I get it but... really...
The science versus religion thing was done better in earlier film.
Overall: It was a decent enough movie, but it was better as The Omega Man or even better than that as The Last Man on Earth (for my review of it click here)!

The Last Man on Earth (1964)

The Last Man on Earth
So I was bored and flipping throuogh the channels earlier and I stumbled upon Vincent Price in a movie on TCM. It has been a good while since I have seen any "classic" films, so I decided to give this one a shot.
The Good:
Vincent Price is awesome. I felt the pain and loneliness of Dr.Robert Morgan in the movie.
It's a great story arc, I thought the plot was very well put together and thought-through.
There were some neat twists in it that I didn't see coming and I loved the ending.
A lot of subtle science versus superstition themes.
Hope, grief, tragedy and panic all work together in this film.
The Bad:
The ADR was terrible.
Some of the other actors weren't as amazing as Vincent Price.
I noticed a few editing/continuity errors.
Overall: Cool flick! It reminded me a lot of Omega Man and it is the forefather of such film as 28 Days Later and Blade. Lots of fun, watch it.
