The Good:
Kate Beckinsale is just awesome. I like her in nearly everything she has ever starred in.
Luke Wilson was good in it too.
There was a lot of very purposeful motion in the film, the camera angles and movement went well with the suspenseful nature of the film.
I like a good suspense-oriented horror, especially one with a simple plot that doesn't try to hard to be clever... I'm looking at you Saw...
The buildup in the movie is done well.
The Bad:
A few of their decisions were questionable, but that is the nature of this genre.
The interactive dynamic between the protagonists was broadcast from the first few lines.
I thought it could have been a tad longer, maybe another 20 minutes or so. I was into it and then it began its last stretch.
Overall: It was like an updated version of Psycho but with better pacing and less sympathy for the villain. The film is a decent suspense, I must admit, I was a little surprised. And as an aside, I never liked Psycho.
