The story was fun, the mood was light and it still carried an interesting message.
The cast was great, I especially liked Rob Lowe, J.K. Simmons and David Koechner.
The dialouge was nuanced and quite witty in places.
It made me laugh more than once out loud.
Much of the movie had dingy yellow hue to it (pylgrim x pointed this out to me) and though the main character is a smoker, you never see him light up (as a matter of fact... I can't remeber anyone smoking in the film).
Editing was very good.
The Bad:
Not so impressed with Katie Holmes in the movie.
Parts of the film very much reminded me of other movies, I can't put my finger on which ones tigh now, but it did.
Sometimes the smooth-talker's smooth-talking didn't seem so good to me.
Overall: I would say this film falls somewhere between The Hudsucker Proxy and a good episode of Parker Lewis Can't Lose. I enjoyed this movie a lot.

Thank You for Smoking is very well made, certainly relevant; i appreciate the fact that it gets into a lot more than just the morality of smoking
